High Detailed Realistic Cat, completely UVmapped and smoothable, made with Maya 8.5 - Shave and Haircut for Fur (see the bottom of the page for further informations)

This scene is Ready to render exactly as you see above (Maya formats) with MentalRay settings.
This model has been modeled with a clean topology based on quads and edge loops where needed. It is ready to be rigged and smoothable.


The model is provided with the following textures (.TGA format!):

This pack includes all the following formats:

.mb (maya 8.5 binary)
.ma (maya 8.5 ascii)
.obj (alias wavefront)
.fbx (kaydara)

FBX is directly exported from Maya with textures assigned
Obj is directly exported from Maya (.mtl included)

FBX and OBJ are also provided in both resolutions, lowpoly and highpoly.


NOTE:
The Fur is made with Shave and Haircut for Maya 8.5 so you would need that Maya plugin to render the fur out.
The actual Shave and Haircut setup is of 300k hair primitives and has been rendered on a system based on 8GB Ram and Winx64 (about 2 minutes to render this scene out)
You can decrease the hair primitives to avoid memory issues or increase them as long as you have enough memory.

The Shave and Haircut Fur setup is included in all the MAYA formats.
The OBJ and FBX formats don't include the Shave and Haircut setup so you can only use the textures (see quick render 'only textures' preview)

I have included a separate Maya (8.5 mb) file with the hair guides (nurbs) so you can make tham dynamic and/or use with other fur plugins.
